Welcome to the new web home of the Catalina 400 International Association. It's been a long time in the making, and we hope that you will find this new site to be a great resource for enhancing your enjoyment of your Catalina 400 sailboat and that you will return again and again to share your experiences and knowledge with your fellow 400 owners. Community Our focus has been on building a community and making this site the premier place on the web for connecting and communicating with other Catalina 400 owners. A visit to the site is meant to be an interactive experience in which you can not only read what others have written but also ask your own questions and share your own knowledge with your fellow owners. The site will expand and grow as everyone contributes to the community. In order to move toward the building of that community, we are excited to announce that we have added two new features to the site that we hope you will be just as excited about and that you will take advantage of. The first is the Community section, where each member has the chance to create their own home page on the site. You can fill out your profile, upload pictures, create groups, identify friends and share information with your fellow owners using the Community pages. You can access the Community section by clicking on the Community link on the main menu bar at the top of the page. The second new feature is the Discussion Forums section. This feature is similar to other standard web-based discussion forums you may have used where you can create new posts on specific topics or join into an ongoing conversation and reply to existing posts. Each forum is dedicated to a specific type of discussion, so for example you can go to the Yacht Club Lounge, introduce yourself and enjoy a casual conversation about any topic; or you can head over to the Tech Talk forum and discuss do-it-yourself projects and boat enhancements. There are other forums devoted to cruising, sailing performance, and the different geographic areas where the association has a fleet. Using the SiteYou don't have to be a member or a registered user to make use of the site. Non-members and unregistered users can browse the content and view all of the information available on these pages. However, in order to make full use of the interactive features of the site, such as the Community section or the Discussion Forums, you must be a registered user on the site, and you must be logged in. Once you have registered and logged in, you will not only be able to read the existing content, but you will also be able to post to the forums and create your own Community information. If you are a current Catalina 400 International Association member and you have previously provided us with an email address, you will receive your login information by email. DO NOT create a new account unless you are sure that you have not received your existing information. If you are unsure if you have an existing account, you can click on the Forgot Your Username link on the Community home page andput in your email address. Your information will be automatically sent to you if it is on file. You can also contact the This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
